The team was founded in 1988 as the Charlotte Hornets, and they played their home games at the Charlotte Coliseum. In 2002, the team moved to New Orleans and became the New Orleans Hornets, but they returned to Charlotte in 2004 and regained the Hornets name. The Hornets have made the playoffs 10 times in their history, and they have won two division titles. The team has had many talented players over the years, including Larry Johnson, Alonzo Mourning, and Kemba Walker. The Hornets play their home games at the Spectrum Center.
